Bit of both innit?

I don't think anyone here wanted him to go full Andy Hughes/three lungs Holt.

And weirdly, I think one of Todd's blind spots is often trying *too much* (in terms of trying to do everything alone, or take on one too many players).

At his best he brings in teammates and helps the attacking midfield tick.

If he's feeling less loved he can get a bit out of position/headless chicken to prove the doubters wrong.

A recurring theme seems to be that he has a way he likes/wants to play and that he'll push towards that, regardless of what the manager has asked for tactically.

And I can get his frustration, if he's being asked to play in a fashion that doesn't suit his skill set.

But I don't think his preferred skillset is fully formed enough to guarantee a place in the teams he's playing for (he doesn't score/create enough goals). In which case he needs to work on what he's asked to do, or risk getting dropped.

And, if dropped, he needs to show why he needed including, consistently.

Ultimately he either needs to drop down a level, be better as an impact sub or improve and adapt according to the needs of his team.

He's got great skills, but to kick on needs to add more to his game.

Hope he does.
