Would have created uproar at the time - esp with Spurs fans - but do think they could have stopped the game 30 seconds later and awarded the goal. Far better than the furore going on now....

Irrelevant anyhow. A change of wording from VAR to ensure on field decision is cross referenced in the final outcome is what was required. VAR (Darren England and Colleague) were at fault for not being aware he on field decision was offside.
