Excellent point

I watched the short interview with Ogwuru (the youngster from Man City), and the was all over this. It was all about the route to first team football, getting in the team....the opportunity for him as he saw it. There was none of the "massive club", "always dreamed of playing here". He's seen the facilities, and the facilities will help him improve himself.

It did come off as slightly selfish, and he's clearly thinking about the club as a "stepping stone" in his career. But since this is the reality these days, and all the "kiss the badge" stuff is almost always entirely fake, we should embrace the one thing we do have a proven track record for. Getting young players into the team, improving them, and ensuring they have a lot of first team minutes on their CV.
