My hope is that he knows another sh*t window/season is not good for his job prospects

It’s in his interest to leave us in decent shape. If he doesn’t get to leave til March next year then it does him no good at all for us to be struggling.

In fact this may explain partly why he’s going for more short term success type signings this summer with a higher age profile. If he has us in the mix again short term he’s likely to get more offers.
