yep, and I think it's a position where you really need consistency

Someone like Leitner, who rarely chose the spectacular pass, but was good positionally, and just always kept the ball moving effectively, controlling the tempo.

No-one knows what they're going to get from Mclean, either positionally or on the ball. That's not ideal to build a team around.
