And we're talking about something that happened in 2009 not the 50s/60s/70s.

He blatantly said it, and would have come out of this much better had he just owned the fact and apologised for being a div. We're all human and will have said questionable things in the past.

As ever, it is the cover up and obfuscation that makes it so much worse.
