Basically spent hours aguing over whether Vaughan made a joke that would fall completely at the lower end of the scale of racism (if indeed it was racist) 14 years ago.
Impression I get is that the ECB stepped in and told the individuals who were put in charge of Yorkshire inb the aftermath to have an immediate clear out of key individuals in order to try and make the whole thing go away. Thats what Vaughan's lawyer is getting at anyway. They or the ECB don't appear to have been very interested in whether there was adequate evidence to back up any of Rafiq's claims provided that they were being seen to have a clear out so they could claim that the club has moved on.
The stuff about him and Rashid very interesting also.
I've got little doubt that some of the stuff he alleges was said although most likely in the context where he was regularly dishing similar stuff out also.
