- Prem experience
- good record of bringing through young players (something he deserves more credit for here: Rowe, Springett, Gibbs, Tompkinson etc)
- experience of championship promotion
- willing to work with no money and no complain about it. How many managers would join without being able to sign anyone in the next window.
Where he didn’t fit was culturally and that was partly because he followed Farke who had created certain expectations around what a manager should be like.
Also, he suffered because neither or Webber articulated any kind of vision for what we were trying to do, either on the pitch or off it.
