Great interviews of true England fans on the telly just now

One said “it’s time to take it home” and the other said “ the women have done it (which they haven’t, that was the Euros), now it’s the men’s turn”.
I know tournaments will always attract new fans, but certainly the demographic of this World Cup’s fans seems massively different. It’s obvious to see why of course, most seem like affluent expats. Do you reckon this is they it’s going to be from now on? Do we really want a return to the violence and tribalism of the past? I don’t want the sterile environment of what the Qatar matches have produced but also wouldn’t want to support England abroad if I know there’s the usual embarrassing and dangerous rioting and thuggery. Maybe it’s the whole alcohol thing as well that’s tempering behaviour.
To travel to these world cups has never been cheap and I dispute the belief it’s only for the wealthy as often you’ll see interviews of people who save and save only for these trips ever 2/4 years, it’s their thing.
A few of us were chatting the other day about going to the Euros in 2024. We all love the location, have been to Germany many times together and would enjoy the football. But we all know what’s going to happen, it’s going to kick right off and we won’t go.
I dunno.
