not only is it not a novelty

but the product (...) is arguably inferior to the last time we were here.

Difficult to get too excited when you're expecting to win, but aren't playing particularly smashing stuff.

(though perversely I quite enjoyed yesterday's game because of the tension, but it was definitely more of a 'phew' at the final whistle than a 'yay!' Wouldn't enjoy that every time...)
