what mostly doesn't help is
the fact that being successful (in the Champs) is not a novelty, and that the reward of being successful in the Champs is regular humpings & sneering media coverage.
Sadly the answer is a period of Ipswichness. Just look at how giddy they are right now.
A starving man appreciates stale bread.
