The ref gave two dangerous free kicks against us for EXACTLY this tactic.

Lad grabbed Omobamidele to hold him up (a foul) got barely in front stuck a leg across and flopped. Think that was first half.

Then right near the end the lad deliberately got himself in front of Sarge and threw himself (possibly obstruction as the ball was nowhere near) he was not looking to do anything but earn a freekick.

None of them should have been given or all of them of them... home crowd got the result they wanted though.
