Ultimately we’d be pretty pissed if we paid £10m for a Pukki type /aged player for this season in this team, and that’s not far off what the decision not to sell would be.
But IDK how integral to the dressing room & squad mood he is. Would selling him put the squad on a downer (damaging promotion chances) or would they be buoyed at the chances offered by more game time (eg Josh) and a new era?
Pukki possibly offers more than just on pitch stuff.
On the flip side, if we don’t sell but he wanted the chance to go, and then he’s second fiddle to Josh, are just forgoing £10m in return for a disenchanted Pukki that will be mentally gone after Jan?
On balance I would probably sell. I think. Maybe. Glad I’m not making the call.
