Anyone who says it wasn't football hooligan related is living in cuckooland

Even if it wasn't directly related to the days events, the reputation and general behaviour of football 'supporters' all contributed to the events. FFS if it didn't go on why are there so many books written about the thug glory days. Hindsight is a wonderful thing
