Mate...

I always think its best to let any grief out-don't bottle it up, don't try to be "good" which is what people expect when a loved someone dies, thge "...oh, he/shes been very good..." and all that Brit (seemingly) nonsense about stiff upper lips and not letting it show.

So yep, watch the movies, talk and talk and talk about the person in question, grieve however you like & if it embarasses/bores other people, too bad.

Its a good way of working towards and reaching closure-which might be at the funeral, just afterwards, a month afterwards-but when it comes, you'll know, and life won't seem so bad again. Which isn't so easily achieved by bottling stuff up and keeping sctum.
