The other evening when I was standing in my garden deciding I ought to mow the thing, I heard some surreptitious rustling noises which sounded like noises an animal might make if it were trying not to make any, if you follow.
Just now, mowing, I observed a small 'hole' in the grass surrounding my shed (on a concrete base, natch) and suspect that something's made a home there. the 'hole' is about *that* big - about the size of a man's large hand - an average sized woman could get both hands in.
I'm not going to have it killed - unless it turns out to be the North Walian Ebola Shark - but am wondering what it might be. I've left it some cover, in case it's got young 'uns at the moment. I'd be surprised if it lasts, whatever it is, 'cos it's Moggy Hell around here.
Any guesses? Preferably sensible ones, but all gestures gratefully accepted.
