Yep

It's a league awash with dirty money and fans performing mental gymnastics to justify parking their moral disgust so they can still support their team.

Which isn't their team any more, just a laundry for international fraud or a billionaire's plaything.

It's coming to every team eventually.

And I hate to break it to the moaners - but when it does, we still won't be competitive.

The word that came to mind a few weeks ago when I came on here was...

Joyless

And its got nothing to do with the football. We were only ever a goal against us away from a deluge of ranting even when we were storming the champs each time.

This, steadfastly, is not how it has always been. But its sure as hell driven away a large proportion of the more interesting (and pragmatic and fun) posters, and is turning quite a few of the familiar, previously chipper faces into dour apologists or accusers. Polarisation in action and at its worst.

Aaaanyway - thanks for your posts BWOD - they've been a highlight, and do say, in a more erudite manner, what I'm often thinking. I like how we are trying to do things and am not embarrassed if it doesn't pan out. Better than selling your soul.
