I do find the idea of "cultural appropriation" (as s'thing wrong) pretty confusing

Are we supposed to identify eg "English or white English culture" (plainly impossible) and then rigidly stick to it? Is any sort of cultural synthesis or incorporation or outside influence wrong? So for example are white jazz musicians guilty? Or Adele? Or countless other musicians, artists, thinkers, writers and so on? Does Jesy Nelson's video cause any harm?
