Let's hope we hammer Wolves next week. After the Binners I think they are my least favourite team.
I shall be very concerned if there is any booing of a City player. I didn't sleep last Saturday; I was that distressed and embarrassed. I've seen only a handful of games this year (playing football and finance dictate), but any player that gives his all for the shirt, regardless or not whether he wears the name Hughes, deserves our support. We've got a (deserved) reputation for being a friendly, accommodating club that players want to be a part of. Any more of the moronic abuse of players will result in this no longer being the case. Those that abused Hughes, or any other player, last week should be ashamed of themselves.
Football is all about faith. When I go out to play football on a Saturday afternoon, I have complete faith in my colleagues. They may not be the best footballers in the world, but I know they will give 100%. It's the same with NCFC. WE have no direction over who is picked to play, but we should support those that are 100%. We should have faith that NW is trying to do his best for the club and as such, we should support the players to the max. I appreciate that many may resent NW's formations and tactics, but we must also appreciate that he does what he thinks is best.
That is why I believe any venom and vitriol should be directed at the board and not the manager. NW is payed to do a job. NW would not purposely set out lose us games, of that I am sure. If he is not up to the job, the board must take action. So far, they have not.
BTW, I think we need a new manager. I am grateful of what NW has done for the club, and he should be considered amongst the greats that the club has to offer (Goss, Eadie, Gunn, Fleck, Roberts, (in my lifetime) etc), but now is the time for the board to bite the bullet and take us, the club, forward.
