TEchy question/cry for help

mate was having a world of problems with puter, so after a clean wipe and reinstallation of win xp home, i am trying to put all the stuff back on. Except now the bastard windows hardware wizard will NOT recognise drivers for a couple of USB devices (one the wifi adaptor). Have tried a fresh reinstallation but it wont bloody work. Help. Dell Insp 3000...... help me obi wan
