I think that might be a really good explanation

I was really disappointed with the second Watford game last season.

That should have been a really good barometer of the squad but they didn't have the professional pride (my opinion) to stay sober for a few days and win the championship against 2nd place. That Watford team had beaten us 3 in a row then. And we were left with excuses as to a loss.
