Another massive statement of the obvious is that

we are simply not in the financial position other clubs are in.

Last night's game for example. I read about it being a Norwich senior team vs Liverpool youth team. Well, of the Starting XI, Liverpool's average age was 23.0 while our own was 23.8. So that is clearly not the case.

However, Liverpool paid 180m euros (had to get it from Transfermarkt) in transfer fees for their starting "youth" XI. We paid 44.4m. 39.7m of that was paid this year (including Giannoulis and Gibson).

Including the subs who came on, Liverpool's team cost 207m. Ours 57.6. They also had a 45m unused sub.

I am not saying we cannot beat teams like this, but we have to stop feeling ENTITLED to win these games. Bookies had as at 5-1 to win so that should tell us something.
