Reckon we upped his salary & bonuses considerably.
In conjunction with a gentleman's agreement on being able to move on if we went up.

If it just aligns our valuation with his likely sale price then it wouldn't be too much of an impediment.

We've track record with Olivera/Leitner/Drmic that we'll happily let players rot if they are disruptive. In the absence of 'proper' bids it could really derail his career.

All of which would naturally sour the relationship of the club with the player. But lets be honest, this is all business is business stuff.
