Rupp and PLM clearly had the job to close the middle and push them wide as Spurs had been successful in but they were happy to do that as they were killing Dimi and Aarons (and also Bali when he came on) and gilmour wasn’t able to support them as he clearly isn’t a defensive midfielder.
