Shameful is the new unacceptable

When he's sold, so long as we get a price that allows us to keep building and keep owners who are the antithesis of the stuff which led to the ESL nonsense then I'll be happy.

Under this regime we sold Pritchard, Madders, Godfrey and Lewis, and got stronger. I'd say they should have earned the goodwill to do it again without getting slagged off, but as you say, there's a number of people who (Lord knows why) look for any opportunity to criticise.

When offered the realistic alternatives (we could have sold him for less last year, we could keep him, unhappy, and not play him) that'd be equally as unpalatable but hey, would be another chance to put the boot in. (maybe that's what they enjoy about being a football fan)

I don't get it, but hey, they clearly see life very differently to me, so hey ho.
