It’s a real shame he’s leaving - I’d love him to stay. But it seems pretty clear that the choice was him leaving a year ago, or him leaving now. I know which I’d prefer. The frothing is just silly (but not surprising, particularly when it comes from those who are always looking to criticise the club anyway).
