O2 gave me a crazy deal...

i was only on a ?21 contract - O2 50 - and i 'threatened' to move to Vodafone. Basically requested my PAC code to keep my number when i moved. They asked me what phone I wanted (one that retails at ?289). They then asked me what Vodafone had offered. I made something up (but be realistic) - said they'd offered me a ?30 a month contract, half price for 3 months, free phone and Bluetooth headset.

Not a word of a lie,, the woman said i could have the free phone and headset, insurnace for 3 months, go onto O2 200 (?30), but have it half price for 12 months (and its only a 12 month contract)!!!

So basically i have a better phone, more accessories, double the talk and text time, for ?6 LESS than before.

From what i've heard, O2 are far more reasonable to haggle with than other providers, esp. Vodafone
