No it isn't a bad thing; FFP was supposed to help but doesn't really

What "really" needs to happen, but never will, is that footballing operations are run to a specific accounting standard over what you are and aren't allowed to offset. So no dodgy inter-group loans, no offsetting profits in one part of group accounts against football losses, yada yada yada. Footballing operations should run with positive EBITDA on their own merits. There would be wrinkles around ground/facilities ownership/depreciation on that, and what debt models are and aren't ok; but the rest I think wouldn't be hard to pull together. All clubs at least in the 92 and ideally their equivalents across Europe. As I say that will never happen because the rich and powerful people don't want it to.
