I lived with a conspiracy theorist for 2 years. He said if there's 1% doubt in anything it's doubt.

So I said "even though 99% proves correct you hang to the 1% at all costs?"

This is what they do, because that 1% is their comfortable get out clause to not face the chaos and believe what they want
