I gained a most of a stone in the first two lockdowns, aided by getting a knee injury in Jan 2020 which took quite a while to get better and chugging a few ciders and eating too much. Before than I had started playing hockey again in 19/20 season got reasonably fit again for a man of my age.
So as soon as I was on Xmas holidays three weeks ago, I’ve tried to get out and do something each day, mostly 10k walks or a 5k run, not too many runs as my I want to be gentle with my knee still.
Now back working I’ve been getting out for a 5k fast walk and back at 7am so I can start work (at home) for 7.30am.
And as bonus I can catch up with podcasts again when I’m outside and exercising and already feel much better for it.
