I aim for 7500 a day but mainly try to get to 150 moderately active minutes a week

Having had different devices, they record different numbers of steps so even if there was a right answer, it would depend on the device.

In my case moderate is heart rate over 100, which in this weather I can do with a brisk walk as the low temperature also seems to up my heart rate. I'm sure there is a medical explanation.

Just got back from a walk , 21 active minutes on the clock for today.

Other thing is to move around a little every hour, I just walk up and down my hallway several times.
