and to sell on is probably the only way that clubs below the EPL will be able to survive going forward. Slightly shocked that the EFL would support this just for short term cash. Selling themselves out. But then football has been screwed for many years. I've gone on about it too often on here but for many years I've had no interest in football beyond my beloved NCFC. When a structure is in place that only allows teams to compete if they have massive financial injections much of it foreign (and much of it dubious) whilst the likes of us, Derby, Notts Forest, Sheff Wed etc etc etc can't begin to compete then the 'sport' of football doesn't really exist. Football used to be a massive part of my life. I'd seldom miss a televised game and certainly never an England game but now its just Norwich. I'll never give up on my club because it is far more than just a club but football can do one. Nothing sums it up like the FA Cup. What a massive competition that was, culminating in one of the great sporting spectacles. Now look at it. PL clubs playing weakened teams and since 1995-6 won by one of the 'big six' 21 out of 23 times (exceptions being Wigan and Portsmouth). Sorry to be so negative on a Wednesday but as you can tell I am very bitter about what has happened to football.
