The headline is 'overwhelming support' but all that people have agreed to do is discuss it. Support for discussions is a long way from support for the proposal.

Almost every owner/club that has gone public has been deeply cynical but most have said they're willing to talk to see what compromises might be forthcoming.

Which I guess makes sense.

Would be utterly amazed if anyone would countenance what is currently proposed (maybe league Two clubs about to go under)

As Azteca says - all a bit academic as I doubt they'll get close to the votes needed in the Prem to get talks off the ground.

Bizarre.
