There's a side to me that would like to tell them all to bugger

off into some sort of European super league and let the rest of us get on with a fairer domestic league system. Trouble is that most Prem clubs are run by owners who look at the club as an investment and want a return on their money therefore they aspire to be one of the 'Big Six' (I hate that bloody expression - do Man Utd supporters care anymore about their club than Norwich or indeed Doncaster or Kings Lynn? So in what way, apart from wealth, do they believe they have this god given right to be a 'big six'?). The Prem has completely screwed football. I've been against it since inception and hated Robert Chase even more for being a big part of its creation (along with Doug Ellis at Villa). Its destroyed the FA Cup and undermined clubs just because they're not part of the money in the League. Its not a model for sport, its a model for investment and nothing else. These proposals are little more than squeezing the 'lesser' clubs to screw the last few drops of equality and keep their bloody shareholders happy. I'd be quite happy to see some sort of league where they piss off and eventually become an irrelevance to the domestic game.
