No surprise he's backing their proposals. Seems like he's a Premier League cuckoo in the EFL nest.

Re the EFL Cup - if the big teams are taken out of it you can absolutely guarantee the Europa League place it currently has for the winners will go too (as will pretty much all of the TV money associated with it). Without the chance of a glamour (i.e. money spinning) tie against the Big Boys or a place in Europe for the winners how much attention will it get from any of the clubs involved? It'll be even worse than the EFL Trophy and dead within 5 years.

Of course once the big teams get their way and control the votes all the promises of help to the EFL will soon be torn up so it is worthless. Just using blackmail over COVID related financial problems to twist the system totally to their benefit.
