I get all that. I listened recently to the Jon Ronson book on BBC Sounds ‘So You've Been

Publicly Shamed’ which is an excellent take on this subject. In that book he describes people who often through no fault of their own, have become victims to exactly what you’ve just described.

I do not think that Nick Conrad falls into this category though. It was his arrogance and delusion that created this. He is not the victim here and I think Jim is being disingenuous. It strikes me that Jim feels Conrad is being attacked because he’s a Tory and not because of what he has said
