short term, who knows. I can't see HMG letting something like Nissan (or the likes of Airbus) go so it's a wait-and-see on how they incentivise them to continue in the UK.
Long term, Brexit is a mere bump in the road.
Car ownership will fall off a cliff in the not too distant future (IMHO) once driverless cars come on stream properly. Ben Legg of OLA has a very attractive vision for the future (as a car user, anyway) if you've ever come across him.
so tbh I stand by my view that evolving technology is a bigger threat to manual car workers in Sunderland than Brexit is. Which isn't to downplay the potential impact of Brexit in any way shape or form.
