Any Outlook experts about? Help please!

I use Outlook for a Gmail account for work, I'm not at all techy but hopefully if I mention IMAP/SMTP then this will explain how I have this set up. Anyway, for 2+ years this has worked fine only now over the weekend I am having an issue whereby whenever Outlook runs "Send/Receive" I get error code 0x800CCC0E which says "Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for...". After a quick GIYLF I think this may be due to the IMAP account settings although these (to my knowledge) haven't changed within the past 2+ years. I guess I may need to change the server / port / encryption methods although I'm not really sure and I'm loathed to do anything without knowing as I'll probably make it even worse somehow.

Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this?
