Pavement cyclists really piss me off.

As Tricky says, labelling all who cycle as “cyclists” enables all to be judged as “cyclists”. Therefore they all jump red lights, ride on the pavement and recklessly. And when a cyclist behaves badly it justifies a driver doing a close pass because that driver thinks they all deserve some kind of retribution. Hence I always thank drivers for letting me out, leaving me enough room and generally not putting my life at risk.

And as I’m still wearing the steristrips on my head and the general aches and pains thanks to a car driver “not seeing” me on Sunday, I feel quite strongly about it as well.
