nope. the backstop might be what stopped many from voting it through - but there's plenty

that voted it down for other reasons.

giving the tory hard-ons more of what they want pushes the tory softs further away

the internationaly agreed Belfast/Good Friday agreement says you don't have that right - the backstop isn't just an 'EU' thing

if you want the world to trust you on any future trading agreement you will be desperate to strike up you have to show you're willing to stick to them - ignoring the most important one that is literally on your doorstep wouldn't exactly be the greatest start
