I think the biggest change has been how people interact with each other. Road rage was the precursor for the whole keyboard warrior persona.
This morning on here was the perfect example. If the two posters had been sat having a coffee and talking about the same topic it absolutely would not have degenerated into a petty spiteful bout of name calling, with nobody having any sense of self-awareness of how they are acting or how they are perceived by others.
The social media takeover of the world has led to taking the humanity out of human interaction.
We dont spare a thought for people on the receiving end of our bile, nor do we particularly care. We cant see the damage so we keep on keeping on.
Conversation takes too long and is too invasive and personal. Why bother when I can throw out soundbites and talk with 100% certainty on a topic in 140 characters or less.
The world is grey, but social media only cares about black and white.
