Really good article. I would make one small modification

though. The division hasn't been really over the last 3 decades. It's more like 50 years and was based on the
the different attitudes towards the Vietnam war. It really is a worldwide thing though. People no longer have the ability to compromise or respectfully understand the opposite opinion. It's been bred out of the human race.
