They definitely ask you about your savings,i think you're allowed up to about 8k

Iirc.and I had redundancy money too,though tbf I went into esa so it could be different i suppose. You have to wait 13 weeks for help with your mortgage,they didn't pay me for 3 months initially so my overdraft went from around £1100 to around £3k (not 100% on those figures tbh though,it's been a while).I also canes my credit card during that time,when I eventually went they then went to know how you/i survived during the period you want without benefits.Well,i accrued about another £3k debt so thanks for that.!
