I know what you mean, but football is a harsh environment

I think opportunity has knocked for Matthews - and McGovern - this last month. The no 1 jersey has been there to grab. And the impression I've taken away from Archant reports on the games, and from Farke's comments in interviews, is that both have done alright, but alright is not what we're after. Glaring errors have been made. Weaknesses displayed. So neither of them have been able to seize the opportunity.

And in football, this is what happens. If you don't cut it, the club will find someone that will.

It might be harsh, it might be hasty, but its been a topic rumbling on for weeks, so this isn't a surprise i would say.
