...they came to install on the designated day but didn't set up the landline. When I came home from work I noticed this so called them at my own expense as we didn't have a Virgin landline. Eventually someone told me that they couldn't install a phone because there were no points left for one in our street. They'd had two weeks from taking our order to install day but decided not to inform us of this fact. Not only that as we didn't have a phone they'd taken it upon themselves to double the charge as we didn't qualify for the package. To cut a tedious start short:
a) initially we were told they'd install a phone in 3 months time and charge us less whilst we waited. 3 months came and went. When I chased they pretty much denied that was ever an option - YOU WANKERS SAID IT - and also didn't switch the cost to the cheaper rate
b) not sure how many times we've called them at our own expense now. What I do know is we've now given up
c) goes without saying we still have no landline. If I could directly give Murdoch money I would as both Virgin and BT have the worse 'customer service' I've ever encountered. Sadly I can't do it and so we continue
