I think technically he was correct yes. I suppose the question is whether a little

common sense should have been applied given the situation and the fact it was youngsters, he was already on a yellow etc.

That plus the Irish seem to be suggesting the Dutch keeper did the same thing but just got a warning. Not sure if that's true.
