Happen to agree with you ref checks and balances, but it goes far deeper than just that. (suspect I'm preaching to the converted though so won't blah on)

Whilst I am glad that the Haiti scandal has hit home with many, this s**t has been going on for years, and years, and years. It was and continues to be rife in the DRC, for example (User Posted Link but that barely registers on anyone's radar.

Why is Haiti different? Dunno (do we really only care when it's a British charity involved?) Will it stop the next Haiti or DRC happening? We both know the answer to that.
