Bugger. Feels very tough that he didn’t get a chance to defend the original claim (why not? Had he moved house so didn’t get the papers or something?) and now has to go through all this baloney to attack the judgment.

If he decides to do it, his statement ought to explain why he wants to get the judgment set aside (affecting credit rating) and summarise the points he wants to make attacking the original judgment (so the court can see he’s got a real argument and there’s some point to this).
