Is he not just saying that that they would prefer not to recruit any players from Africa because they've got 7 already and have had some behavioural issues with African players in the past? Of course not every African player is going to be difficult but if your actual experience is that they tend to cause more problems when not playing then are you not entitled to say that? Obviously going to get seized upon in this day and age where any comment that might touch on race or nationality is seized upon but not sure its that outrageous.
Are we discrimnating by deliberately pursuing a policy of signing German players rather than Africans?
Personally the African Cup of Nations being every 2 years has always meant I didn't want us to sign too many African players because you lose them at a key stage of the season every 2 years for several weeks. If I was manager and decided not to sign too many African players because of this would that be discriminatory?
