Exactly that.

From the inside, basically you can see that it’s all just privatising.

As for the advantages, they’re not on the consumer side. Trusts get to have preferred suppliers, can change other rules etc. Heaven forbid they’d use companies which give them incentives, or with whom they have connections. Education itself doesn’t make money, so what grounds other than pure altruism do millionaire businessmen have to get involved?

I’m obviously being cynical there, but in real terms as a “customer” I doubt you’ll see a huge change, or what change you do see will be superficial: uniform, etc.
